Today was a pretty damn hot day! Got up to 36 degrees C apparently; which lets be honest, is far too hot for any sort of running! I had a sleep in after last night, so running in the morning was out! Instead I headed out to a nice breakfast out in Sumner. Then the day got hotter and hotter, until I just bit the bullet and headed out for a ferrymead loop (11.03km, 54 minutes).
Well, the run. For all those runners, you know that feeling of when your legs turn to jelly? And basically you just run on autopilot, hoping not to trip yourself up? Sadly that was the way I started the run today. So not fast, not strong, not pretty, but I managed to finish another run of 10 km+. I know for one thing, I will sleep well tonight!
I will have another flat run tommorow I think, will head out in the morning, tommorow is looking like a reasonably busy day, not all bad, but I will have to make sure to find time for a nice little run in the morning!
Interestingly, I am already 2/3 of the way towards my weekly average.....
