Here we are, the 4th of January, which is firstly my nephew's first birthday, but it also means run number 4.
Headed up the Gorge Track, to complete what was effectivly the Two Peaks in reverse. I extended it however, by heading further up the Gorge Track than I previously did, an addition which added about 1.5km to the journey. Now, the reverse of the Two Peaks is not for the faint hearted, there is a pretty evil climb up to the Rapaki Track; which begs the question of why I thought it would be a good idea to do it!
Short answer is, I dont know. But, 10.04 km, in 50 minutes later, the run is done and that climb is well behind me!
Had a good chat to my old athletics coach last night, I think one of the best quotes came out from it "3000 km is a long way". Yes, yes it is. and all things going well I will have completed it and be relaxing this time next year! He also had some good ideas about further fitness things to do, watch this space.
